Bye weeks and injuries are starting to pile up. Time to lock in and nail your waiver claims.
Here are our top week 7 waiver wire adds to take your fantasy football team to the next level.
Week 7 Waiver Wire Adds: Spend Your Priority
As a general rule of thumb, if a player will be in your starting lineup, then they're worth spending priority on (doesn't really apply to QB, TE, K or DEF). Here are some guys that will likely be in a lot of starting lineups this week. 👇
🟢 RB Rachaad White - Somehow still available in 43% of fantasy football leagues. Handled 57.9% of the Commanders backfield touches in week 6, Washington's first game with Jacory Croskey-Merritt (IR) out. White handled 11 total touches — including 4 catches on 5 targets — for 57 yards, 1 TD and 15.7 PPR points. He's on bye this week which obviously won't help you, but he'll be the guy when he comes out of the break.
🟢 RB Dameon Pierce - Somehow still available in 37% of fantasy football leagues. Handled 100% of the Eagles' backfield touches in week 6, toting 16 touches — including 4 catches on 5 targets — for 50 scrimmage yards and 1 TD. Another nice matchup vs the Cowboys in week 7.
🟢 RB Kendre Miller - Handled 59.5% of the Saints' backfield touches in week 6, toting the rock 22 times — including 2 targets/catches — for 70 scoreless yards (9 PPR points). The Saints should find themselves in neutral game script that allows them to keep the run game going against the Steelers who, by the way, present a friendly matchup for RBs.
🟢 WR Germie Bernard - Saw 27.3% of the Steelers' targets in week 6, catching 11 of 12 for 87 yards, 1 TD, and 25.7 PPR points. Very much on the WR 3 radar moving forward with Michael Pittman and Roman Wilson on IR.
Potential adds after waivers run (don't spend priority)
🟡 RB Bam Knight - Handled a shocking 47.2% of the Cardinals' backfield touches in week 6, toting the rock 17 times — including 2 targets/catches — for 98 scoreless scrimmage yards and 11.8 PPR points. Teammate Tyler Allgeier handled 2 more touches (19) but managed just 48 scoreless scrimmage yards (5.8 PPR points). Allgeier and Knight have friendly matchups vs the Broncos and Cowboys in the next 2 games, but none of this really matters if Jeremiyah Love — or potentially even James Conner — returns.
🟡 WR Malik Washington - Saw another 30.8% of the Dolphins targets in week 5, now making it 5 straight games of garnering 21.7% of the targets or more. It's not sexy by any means, but Washington has 5-10 targets, 3-6 catches, 43-67 yards and 8-12 PPR points in all 5 games this season.
🟡 WR Omar Cooper - Played 82% of the offensive snaps and saw 24.1% of the Jets' targets in week 6, catching 6 of 7 for 103 yards, 1 TD and 22.3 PPR points. Adonai Mitchell could miss a 5th straight game in week 7, giving Cooper — the 30th overall pick in this year's draft — a chance to campaign for the WR 2 role. Cooper could be here to stay.
🟡 WR Keenan Allen - Saw a season-high 28.9% of of the Colts' targets in week 6, catching 8 of 11 for 82 scoreless yards (16.2 PPR points). Now has 9+ targets and 5+ catches in each of the last 3 games.
🟡 WR KC Concepcion - Somehow still available in 43% of fantasy football leagues. Received 6-9 very nice targets in each of the last 4 full games he's played.
🟡 RB Roschon Johnson - Handled 42.9% of the Bears' backfield touches, giving him 10+ touches in back-to-back games without Kyle Monangai. The Bears have a quick turnaround in week 7, facing the Patriots on Thursday Night Football, giving Monangai less time to return. If Monangai misses week 7, Johnson could be in for another 10+ touches, giving him plug-and-play RB 3/flex viability in a mediocre matchup.
🟡 RB Mike Washington - Ashton Jeanty handled 81.5% of the backfield touches in week 3. Then 61.8% in week 4, then 59.1% in week 5, and 53.8% in week 6. Mike Washington, on the other hand, saw his backfield touches jump from 18.5% in week 3 to 29.4% in week 4 and 38.5% in week 6. With Jeanty clearly playing hurt and losing playing time, Washington is getting more and more involved in the offense and has some really nice matchups coming up.
🟡 WR Wan'Dale Robinson - 6+ targets in 5 of 6 games this season, including 7 targets in each of the last 2. Nice matchup with the Browns in week 7, and a pass-heavy game script with the Bengals in week 8.
🟡 WR Tre Tucker - 5+ targets in each of the last 3 games, and 7+ targets in 5 of the last 6. Exploded for 22.9 PPR points in week 2 and 26.7 just last week. Some admittedly brutal matchups coming up in the next month (Rams, at Jets, at 49ers, Seahawks, at Broncos), but also some pass-heavy game script in some of those as well.
🟡 WR Ryan Flournoy - Caught 7 of 9 targets for 40 yards, 1 TD and 17 PPR points in week 6. Now has 5+ targets in 4 of the last 5 games, and 12+ PPR points in each of the last 2. Nice matchups with the Eagles and Cardinals in the next two weeks.
🟡 TE Tyler Higbee now, Terrance Ferguson next week - Davante Adams is expected to miss the next 6-10 weeks, freeing up 8.2 targets per game that need to find new homes. When Puka Nacua missed week 2, Terrance Ferguson racked up 9 targets, 6 catches, 54 yards, 1 TD and 17.4 PPR points before landing on IR. When Nacua missed week 3, Tyler Higbee racked up 11 targets, 8 catches, 62 yards, 1 TD and 20.2 PPR points. The Rams figure to use their TEs to fill the Davante Adams gap. Ferguson is out one more week but expected to return in week 8, where he'll be a high upside TE option for the foreseeable future. Higbee is the Rams TE I'd want to roster in a great week 7 matchup vs the Raiders.
🟡 TE Michael Mayer - Saw 23.1% of the Raiders' targets in week 6, catching 7 of 9 for 95 scoreless yards and a season-high 16.5 PPR points. Now has 9+ targets in 2 of the last 3 games, and 12+ PPR points in 3 of the last 4.
🟡 WR DeMario Douglas - Saw 26.7% of the Patriots' targets in week 6, catching 7 of 8 for 86 yards and 1 TD (21.6 PPR points). Douglas now has 5+ targets in 3 of the last 4 games. Romeo Doubs played just 2 snaps and missed the rest of the game with a shoulder injury, keeping Douglas on the field despite AJ Brown's return. Doubs was placed on IR, putting Douglas on the radar for a Thursday Night showdown with the Bears.
🟡 WR Kendrick Bourne - Now has 8 targets and 5 catches in each of the 2 games he's played without Marvin Harrison, soaking up 17.8% and 23.5% of the Cardinals' targets in the last 2 weeks. Tough matchup with the Broncos in week 7, but a date with the Cowboys awaits in week 8.
🟡 WR Ja'Kobi Lane - Rashod Bateman could miss time and Lamar Jackson could return for an important matchup/shootout with the division rival Bengals in week 7, meaning Ja'Kobi Lane could be a top 2 WR in what could be an exciting game for fantasy purposes. If Bateman does miss an extended period of time, Lane could be the WR 2 for some exciting/good matchups vs not only the Bengals, but also the Bills and Jaguars in the next 3 weeks.
🟡 WR Jordyn Tyson - Jordyn Tyson traveled to Paris with the team, suggesting he may begin practicing/player sooner than later. That said, the Saints bye is next week (week 8), so it seems more likely they hold him out one more week before making his NFL debut in week 9. Tons of talent if you can hold him on your bench.
🟡 WR Jordan Watkins, Brandin Cooks, Jacob Cowing, (Christian Kirk?) - Jordan Watkins played more offensive snaps (47) than any other 49ers' WR in week 6, a list that also includes Mike Evans (25, injury), Brandin Cooks (32), and Jacob Cowing (15). Mike Evans will reportedly "miss a little time" suddenly putting Watkins on the radar in a possible week 7 shootout and great matchup with the Falcons. Cowing, Cooks and perhaps Christian Kirk will all be involved as well.
🟠 WR Antonio Williams - Terry McLaurin was knocked out of week 6 with a scary knee injury and isn't likely to be back any time soon. In his place, Antonio Williams played 67% of the snaps and attracted 11.4% of the targets. Treylon Burks (55% snaps, 17.1% targets) is hot on his tail, but Williams will be in the mix as a top 2 or 3 option for Jayden Daniels moving forward. The Commanders are on bye this week however, which won't help you now.
🟠 WR Treylon Burks - As mentioned directly above, Treylon Burks played slightly fewer snaps than Antonio Williams, but attracted more of the targets, catching 4 of 6 for 66 scoreless yards (10.6 PPR points). He'll be in the mix moving forward. The Commanders are on bye this week however, which won't help you now.
🟠 WR Cooper Kupp - Set season-highs in playing time (85% of the snaps), target share (21.7%), targets (10), catches (5) and yards (50) in week 6. Now has played 81% or more of the offensive snaps in back-to-back weeks after playing just 43-67% of the snaps in weeks 2-4.
🟠 WR Malachi Fields - Saw 8 targets in week 6. He only caught 2 of them for 19 scoreless yards (3.9 PPR points). Great matchup vs the Texans in week 7.
🟠 TE Brenton Strange - On bye in week 7 which won't help you now. But when he returns, he should be rostered in a lot more than the 58% of leagues he's currently rostered in. He's averaging 11.5 PPR points and 7 targets per game over his last 4 games, and has a nice matchup with the Colts coming up in week 8.
🟠 RB Jaleel McLaughlin - Handled 56.5% of the Browns' backfield touches, toting the rock 13 times — including 4 targets/catches — for 55 scoreless yards (9.5 PPR points). He'll be on the RB 3/flex radar if Quinshon Judkins can't go in week 7.
🟠 RB Audric Estime - Handled 39.1% of the Browns' backfield touches, toting the rock 9 times for 19 yards and 1 TD (7.9 PPR points). He'll be a desperation, TD or bust flex play if Quinshon Judkins can't go in week 7.
