Joshua Palmer might be the sleeper pick you need in 2025

Former Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Joshua Palmer signed a three year, $36 million deal to catch passes from Josh Allen in 2025, making him the second-highest paid WR on the Buffalo Bills roster behind...checks notes...Curtis Samuel.
Normally, I'd suggest that should lead to significant playing time in an offense, but again, Curtis Samuel.
In this case, however, I think it's warranted and likely to happen.
Joshua Palmer has shown he can earn some targets in an offense before
Across 47 career games where Joshua Palmer played 30 or more snaps, he's averaged almost six targets per game and scored just over 9 PPR fantasy points per game. But that was when he was mostly a WR3 in a somewhat run-first offense, playing behind then-target-hog Keenan Allen and a slew of other wide receivers, including Mike Williams in his when-healthy prime. When he had the opportunity to see his role increased, his top 10% of results scored a solid 17 or more points per game.
The WR2 job seems to be wide open
Khalil Shakir will continue to be the WR1 for Josh Allen in 2025, and Dalton Kincaid will still earn targets at the tight end position, but that second wide receiver spot remains a bit unknown. It was widely expected that Keon Coleman, drafted 33rd overall last season, would win that job, but he's been somewhat unimpressive in camp so far based on reports, leaving an opportunity for a proven veteran to come in and potentially take that spot, at least early in the season, on a team that has aspirations for a deep playoff run.
There's not a lot of competition behind Joshua Palmer
Buffalo also signed Elijah Moore this offseason, who has shown flashes at times but is more likely to be insurance policy for Khalil Shakir in the slot than anything else. And Curtis Samuel has shown flashes, too, but is more of a gadget player right now that could be interesting for some designed plays on low snap counts.
His ADP is low, and my ranking on him is well above it.
On redraft sites such as ESPN, Joshua Palmer is available in the early 200s overall. For a guy who has shown an ability to operate as an number 2 wide receiver with upside in a Josh Allen led offense, that's a swing I'm willing to take. And on best ball sites such as Drafters and DraftKings, which are both full PPR, he's a solid bet to take in the second half of your drafts.
