Puka Nacua
It goes without saying that Puka Nacua is an elite wide receiver, and now he's heading into a contract year to finally get paid while also having some off-the-field controversies surrounding him. He'll be motivated to have his best season yet, not only for the contract, but also in what is possibly (likely?) Matthew Stafford's final season. Draft with confidence.
Ja'Marr Chase
What's there to say? Ja'Marr Chase is #good at football and is the number one weapon on an elite offense. He has an elite production profile, a high target volume, and a documented history of league-winning weeks. Draft with confidence in the early first round.
Asking LinkedIn
I asked my LinkedIn followers to choose who they would pick third overall in a PPR fantasy football draft, and Justin Jefferson was the clear choice in the community with 41% of the vote. Puka Nacua followed in second with 22%.
Would I recommend Basement Brewed Sports subscribers take Puka Nacua or Ja'Marr Chase?
There are far fewer smoke plumes surrounding Ja'Marr Chase, so even putting those league-winning weeks aside, he also feels like the safer pick at this point. He's pretty much an auto-click as the third pick in PPR drafts if Jahmyr Gibbs and Bijan Robinson are both gone.
