🏈 Week 1 Streamers: Defenses, Kickers, and IR Stashes

To catch you up quick on some general BBFF philosophy: we do NOT believe in wasting draft picks on defenses or kickers unless you absolutely have to. Instead of forcing ourselves to trust the Rams defense when they play Josh Allen and the Bills, we would rather scoop the Jaguars off waivers and watch them destroy the Browns.
In other words, we are streamers here at BBFF. That is, we pick up the defenses and kickers with the best matchups every week and watch them embarrass our opponents who wasted valuable draft capital on week-to-week volatility.
Below you'll find our favorite defenses and kickers to use as Week 1 streamers, plus our favorite IR stashes to hold onto for future weeks. If you have questions about this or ANYTHING BBFF, feel free to reach out!
Week 1 Defense Streamers 👇
Tier 1: Jacksonville Jaguars
If they're available in your league (probably not), you have to scoop up the Jags, who are in a Week 1 tier of their own against Deshaun Watson and the Browns. The Browns have an implied point total of just 16.5 points for Week 1, easily the fewest on the entire slate. The low team total suggests not only very few points, but also plenty of sacks and turnovers.
Tier 2: Las Vegas Raiders, Tennessee Titans, Los Angeles Chargers
If you can't grab the Jaguars, you can almost certainly grab the Raiders or Titans, possibly even the Chargers. Respectively, they will face the Dolphins (18 implied points), Jets (18.5), and Cardinals (19) in Week 1 and make for terrific plug-and-play streaming options.
If you're looking for a tiebreaker between the three, lean towards the Chargers since they get to play the Raiders in Week 2.
If you somehow miss on those 4 (you won't), here are some other quick grab-and-go options for Week 1:
Tier 3: Pittsburgh Steelers, Philadelphia Eagles, Seattle Seahawks, Kansas City Chiefs
Tier 4: New York Jets, Buffalo Bills, Detroit Lions, Miami Dolphins

Typically a pretty unpredictable position, we've actually identified a few trends over the last 2 years that can help us predict kickers with a good chance of scoring 11+ points in their upcoming game.
We'll spare you the details — you'll be able to see them in the Week 1 Week Winner if you're a BBFF member — but below are the kickers we like in Week 1.
Tier 1: Harrison Mevis, Jason Myers
Tier 2: Chris Boswell, Tyler Loop
Tier 3: Evan McPherson, Matt Gay
Week 1 IR Stashes 👇
If your league has IR spots, use them! Below are our 5 favorite players to stash on IR for Week 1.
If Saints' rookie WR Jordyn Tyson is available, he's priority number 1 as an IR stash. He's typically only available in shallow leagues, but it's worth taking a look.
If he's not there, take a look for Seahawks' RB Zach Charbonnet, who should be plenty involved in Seattle's offense once he returns.
Likewise, look for Texans' WR Tank Dell, who has an opportunity to emerge as Houston's WR2 as the season goes on.
Deeper leaguers can look for Lions' RB Isiah Pacheco, the potential "handcuff" to Jahmyr Gibbs, or Cardinals' RB James Conner, an established RB in an already banged-up backfield (of course, that includes Conner himself).
