Week 10 Fantasy Football Review
Here are noteworthy developments from Week 10 and what they mean for Week 11.
Quick Quarterback Suggestion
If you didn't hear, the Bengals designated Joe Burrow for activation from injured reserve, opening his 21-day practice window. Depending on your league, you might be able to add him right now since the Bengals are on bye!
Running Back Usage
D'Andre Swift played 62% of the snaps and handled 72% of the backfield in Week 10 fantasy football. Kyle Monangai played 38% of the snaps and handled just 28% of the backfield touches. Thank you for your service, Monangai, but this is Swift's backfield moving forward.
Woody Marks played a season-high 80% of the snaps and handled a season-high 72.7% of the backfield touches. Nick Chubb played a season-low 13% of the snaps and handled a season-low 27.3% of the backfield touches.
Woody Marks may have officially gone all Captain Phillips on Nick Chubb.
Kyren Williams played a season-low 58% of the snaps and handled just 55.2% of the backfield touches while Blake Corum played a season-high 39% of the snaps and handled 44.8% of the backfield touches.
Corum has handled 34% - 48% of the backfield touches in each of the last 3 games. That said, the Rams have won each of their last 3 games by 16 points or more, creating supremely positive game script that allows them to run the clock out in the 2nd half.
The Rams have out-scored their opponents 128-46. Sledding won't be as easy against the Seahawks and Buccaneers in the next 2 games.
Aaron Jones played a season-high 71% of the snaps and handled a season-high 70.6% of the backfield touches while Jordan Mason played a season-low 25% of the snaps and handled a season-low 29.4% of the touches in Week 10.
Tyrone Tracy pulled away from Devin Singletary a little bit, playing 67% of the snaps and handling 57.7% of the backfield touches compared to 33% of the snaps and 42.3% of the backfield touches for Singletary.
It was back to Bam Knight in Week 10, handling 52.4% of the backfield touches compared to 33.3% for Emari Demercado and 14.3% for Michael Carter. Let's all just hope Trey Benson is back in Week 11 shall we?
Wide Receiver Trends
He didn't exactly cut into Olamide Zaccheaus' snaps (57%), but Luther Burden played a season high — by far — 49% of the snaps in Week 10 of fantasy football. He caught 3 of 3 targets (8.3% target share) for 51 scoreless yards (8.1 PPR points). He's someone to keep an eye on with plenty of upside if he can ever get ahead of Zaccheaus in the depth chart.
For the first time this season, Jayden Higgins played more snaps (57%) than Xavier Hutchinson (53%) in a game with Nico Collins. Higgins caught 5 of 7 targets (15.9% target share) for 42 yards and 1 TD while Hutchinson didn't see a single target. Higgins offers plenty of upside if he can work his way into the WR 2 role behind Collins.
Christian Kirk dropped from 56% of the snaps in Week 9 to 43% of the snaps in Week 10. At the same time, rookie Jaylin Noel climbed from 15% of the snaps in Week 9 to 33% of the snaps in Week 10. Kirk saw just 3 targets (6.8% target share) while Noel saw 4 targets (9.1%). Something to keep an eye on.
Dyami Brown played just 37% of the snaps for the Jaguars in Week 10. Meanwhile, Tim Patrick played a season high 71% of the snaps, 2nd most among Jaguars WRs behind only Parker Washington (87%). That said, both Brown and Patrick saw 1 target each (and failed to catch it).
Keep an eye on Tre Harris who continues to hover around 48% of the snaps after playing 44% in Week 10. He hasn't seen more than 2 targets since Week 6, but he's hanging around.
With Jakobi Meyers in Jacksonville, Dont'e Thornton played 62% of the snaps, Tyler Lockett played 57% of the snaps, and Jack Bech played just 23% of the snaps in Week 10. Lockett led Raiders' WRs in targets with 6 (a strong 24% target share) followed by Tre Tucker (3 targets, 12% share), Thornton (2 targets, 8% share), and Bech (1 target, 4% share).
With Kayshon Boutte on the shelf, Mack Hollins played a season-high 79% of the snaps in Week 10, followed by Stefon Diggs (59%) and Kyle Williams (56%). DeMario Douglas remained a quarter-time player, playing just 21% of the snaps. Hollins led the WRs in targets with 10 ( a dominant 34.5% target share) followed by Diggs (8 targets, 27.6% share) while Williams (2 targets, 6.9% share...nice) and Douglas tied for 3rd. Hollins has 7+ targets in 2 of the last 3 games (30% or better share in both).
With Rashid Shaheed in Seattle, Devaughn Vele played 87% of the offensive snaps in Week 10, more than any other Saints WR. That said, he saw just 3 total targets, "good" for an 11.5% target share.
Treylon Burks played 39% of the offensive snaps in Week 10, which turned out to be the 2nd most among all Commanders' WRs behind only Deebo Samuel (78%). Deebo led the WRs in targets with 5 (a strong 22.7% target share), followed by Robbie Chosen (4 targets, 18.2% share) and Burks (3 targets, 13.6% share).
Jerry Jeudy (available in 38% of leagues) caught 6 of 12 targets for 78 yards and 1 TD. It was his second time garnering 12+ targets in the last 4 games with Dillon Gabriel. Of course, he had just 2-5 targets in the other 3 games with Gabriel.
Tight End Notes
With Cole Kmet (66% of the snaps) fully healthy, Colston Loveland dropped to 62% of the snaps after 2 straight Weeks of playing 81%. That said, Kmet saw 5.6% of the targets (2 total) while Loveland saw 11.1% of the targets (4), catching all 4 for 55 scoreless yards (9.5 PPR points). Loveland remains a weekly-TE-1-in-waiting.
Michael Mayer stayed involved in the passing game, garnering 4 targets, good for a 16% target share just one Week after 18.4%.
Taysom Hill played a season high 37% of the snaps in Week 10.
