Looks like we're finally getting a week with some offense! As of me writing this, there are five games with over a 45 projected total, including three that are above a 47 projected total. This should help us narrow down some of the randomness of player selection compared to previous weeks - unless we see a repeat of week one's Steelers/Jets game. Variance is fun!

Here are my week 6 DraftKings DFS picks & fades that I'm considering for my lineups.

Week 6 DraftKings DFS Stack of the Week

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: QB Baker Mayfield ($6,600) + WR Emeka Egbuka ($7,200) + TE Cade Otton ($3,400)

49ers at Bucs is one of the three games sitting above that 47 point total threshold of games I expect to be popular. But I absolutely expect the popularity to be more heavily weighted on the 49ers side, where everyone is super cheap.

  • Baker is the most expensive QB on the slate if we presume that Lamar sits again (as most do, including Vegas), a full $1,000 above Mac Jones.

  • Emeka Egbuka is among the top five WR prices on the slate, a full $2,200 ahead of presumed WR1 Kendrick Bourne.

  • Cade Otton is $300 cheaper than Jake Tonges but has done next to nothing most of the season.

Don't get me wrong - I like that 49ers side as well - but I can't imagine a scenario where people aren't gravitating to the 49ers going against a mediocre Bucs defense at cheap prices. But nothing is stopping Baker from throwing four touchdowns, and I want exposure to that scenario if it's going underowned.

Week 6 DraftKings DFS Picks

RB Ashton Jeanty, Las Vegas Raiders ($6,900)

Ashton Jeanty is sitting in an interesting price spot this week, sandwiched between some likely-high-owned players in Josh Jacobs ($7,300 as a 14-point home favorite against the Bengals) and Javonte Williams ($6,400 in the highest total game at the Panthers), with a couple of other players in good spots below that as well. But his matchup is also a juicy one, at home against the lowly Tennessee Titans. Now having topped over 100 yards from scrimmage in two straight games, I think we see some sneaky value here with modest ownership.

WR Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers ($6,000)

If there ever was a spot for Tet to get his first touchdown in the NFL, this feels like the one. Bryce Young has been bad, but the Dallas Cowboys pass defense has been...badder? More bad? Not great! And despite all of that, Tet has been relatively efficient, and with the (maybe?) return of Jalen Coker to the lineup, the offense could get even more of a boost.

TE Tucker Kraft, Green Bay Packers ($4,700)

The Bengals defense is not good at football. The Packers offense should have their way pretty easily this weekend, and that means an efficient Tucker Kraft day with obvious upside for a touchdown. Simple.

Week 6 DraftKings DFS Fades

RB Travis Etienne Jr., Jacksonville Jaguars ($5,900)

The Seahawks defense is good, and I don't think they're getting enough credit for it. Yes, this is a high total game, and yes, Travis Etienne Jr. has been a surprise this season. But! Only one running back in the first five weeks of the season has rushed for over 100 yards against this unit, and that back was Christian McCaffrey.

West coast teams playing an early game on the east coast certainly poses a narrative risk, but I like the chances - and I like the other backs' ceilings that surround him in price, too.

WR Jakobi Meyers, Las Vegas Raiders ($5,800)

The actual answer here is Tee Higgins, but I wrote him in here last week and figured that would be cheating. So I'll throw Jakobi in here, with basically the same notes on the matchup as Jeanty above - it's a good one. But Jakobi hasn't been able to capitalize on any matchup this year, not even in garbage time, and is now the most expensive he's been all season. I'm not convinced the ceiling case is here, even if there's a decent floor.
