In 7 full games between weeks 12-19 where he played at least 59% of the offensive snaps after unseating Tutu Atwell for the Rams WR 3 role, Demarcus Robinson averaged a healthy 12.8 PPR points and 6 targets per game.
And that was WITH Puka Nacua, Cooper Kupp, Kyren Williams AND Tyler Higbee ALL in the lineup.
For context, averaging 12.8 PPR points per game over a full 17 game season would have made Robinson fantasy's WR 25(!) in 2023.
That's WR 2/3 production down the stretch.
And he did it consistently, scoring 13 or more PPR points in 5 of those 7 games (71.4%).
Heading towards 2024, Robinson is once again penciled in as the team's WR 3 with Tyler Higbee (4.4 targets per game in 2023) looking like a candidate to begin the season on the PUP list, making 3 WR sets more likely to start the season for LA.
To be clear, Robinson—a career journeyman—is far from a sure thing; yes, he took Tutu Atwell's job to close the season, but will the 30 year old Robinson stay ahead of the former 2nd round pick for the entirety of the 2024 campaign?
Robinson is entering year 9 in the NFL having never exceeded 48 catches, 466 yards or 4 TDs in a single season. He's NEVER finished better than fantasy's WR 69 (nice) in his 8 year career.
Still, considering his cheap price tag—Robinson is currently being drafted as fantasy's WR 74 around pick 166 overall, a late 14th round pick on Drafters.com—Robinson is a fantastic late round sleeper in 2024 fantasy football drafts.
Assuming he's Matthew Stafford's WR 3 come week 1, Robinson is immediately on the fantasy football radar as a WR 4/flex who can offer WR 3 or even the occasional WR 2 week.
Just beware of Tutu Atwell as the season goes on.
