Game Scripts

The Broncos are entering this game as comfortable 7-point road favorites with a decent projected team total of 24.0 points, the 10th highest among all 28 teams on the week 14 slate. The comfortable spread suggests a potentially run-heavy approach while the decent projected team total suggests serviceable touchdown opportunities.

The Vikings are entering this game as slim 1.5-point home favorites with a subpar projected team total of 21.5 points, the 13th fewest among all 28 teams on the week 14 slate. The narrow spread suggests a balanced offensive approach while the subpar projected team total suggests limited touchdown opportunities. With a low over/under of 41.5 points and both teams sporting bottom 13 projected team totals under 22 points, Commanders @ Vikings is a game to mostly avoid in week 14 of fantasy football.

Positional Matchups

After 12 games, the Raiders present a mouthwatering matchup for WRs, allowing the 3rd most catches, 8th most yards, 4th most touchdowns and 6th most PPR points per game. 17 WRs in 12 games have been able to reach 10+ PPR points against the Raiders.

After 12 games, the Commanders present a mouthwatering matchup for WRs, allowing the 13th most catches, 4th most yards, 6th most touchdowns and 3rd most PPR points per game. 17 WRs in 12 games have scored 10+ PPR points against the Commanders.

Courtland Sutton: Bottom Line

I expect Courtland Sutton to finish, on average, around 13–17 PPR points on ~7–9 targets, 5–6 catches, ~65–85 yards and 0–1 TD as a high-end WR3 in a run-leaning script but elite WR matchup.

Justin Jefferson: Bottom Line

I expect Justin Jefferson to finish, on average, around 12–16 PPR points on ~8–11 targets, ~4–6 catches, ~55–80 yards, and 0–1 TD—elite matchup but capped by JJ McCarthy’s volatility. With McCarthy under center, Jettas is merely a low-end WR 3/high-end WR 4, albeit one with WR 2 (or dare I say WR 1?) upside in this mouthwatering matchup.

Should you start Courtland Sutton or Justin Jefferson?

Man, what a disappointment this season has been for Justin Jefferson. The thing is - and I mentioned this above - there's always the slimmest of upside cases that he just explodes on any given week.

I just can't trust it here in any sort of close matchup. I would like to play Courtland Sutton in a majority of cases.

But if you're thinking you're an underdog and need the win...
