De'Von Achane still has RB1 upside, and you can stack him with Tua Tagovailoa, too

I took a lot of De'Von Achane in my portfolio on Drafters before his price - and all of the Dolphins prices, for that matter - started to rise. The idea that a running back, when he had a healthy quarterback behind him, was able to command WR-like target shares and run as well as he did was an upside scenario we want to target in best ball contests.

Now, most of the time when I'm sitting at the 1-2 turn, I've been hammering two wide receivers and then backing it up with a later running back at the 3-4 turn, as elite wide receiver talents such as Brian Thomas Jr., Nico Collins, Brian Thomas Jr. and Drake London all go around that spot.

But this time, two of those four went before I was on the clock at pick 12 - so grabbing one and pairing him with De'Von Achane allowed me to build a little bit of a different look than I've done so far in my Millionaire drafts.

Without further ado, here's team seven of my Draftkings Millionaire Best Ball portfolio for 2025.

The team, position by position

  • 3 QBs

  • 6 RBs

  • 8 WRs

  • 3 TEs

I started this draft out with wide receivers in five of the first six picks (you'll never guess who the other one was!), which pushed me to make sure I had some quantity to back up the onesie positions at QB and TE.

The stacks

Miami Dolphins triple stack

  • QB Tua Tagovailoa (pick 109)

  • RB De'Von Achane (pick 13)

  • WR Jaylen Waddle (pick 60)

  • WR Nick Westbrook-Ikhine (pick 229)

There's been some recent smoke around Malik Washington "outperforming" Nick Westbrook-Ikhine in practice and the preseason games, but all of that noise overlooks the fact that their roles are completely different from one another. Malik Washington looks to be the person they're going to call on if Tyreek Hill or Jaylen Waddle go down to fill their roles - which is exactly what's happening now with Malik filling in for Tyreek - where Nick Westbrook-Ikhine has his own defined role in the offense as the big target over the middle and in the end zone. I'm going to keep being overweight NWI as much as I can to capture the touchdown upside.

I did reach on Tua here, as is typical for my draft style especially on DraftKings. Quarterbacks go at random places to random teams over here, and chancing not completing the stack wasn't something I wanted to risk. I believe I have strategies to make up ground elsewhere in draft value anyways, so I like to make sure I focus on structure.

New England Patriots backdoor stack

  • QB Drake Maye (pick 108)

  • WR Kyle Williams (pick 132)

  • TE Hunter Henry (pick 157)

Mikey covered off the Patriots offense here, so I won't give you a rehash of that, but with these two players, I believe I have a solid full-season floor piece to the passing offense in Hunter Henry and the late-season upside shot come playoff time in Kyle Williams. With three stacks at play here, having one of them be a possible "closer" stack at the end of the season lets me try and outmaneuver my advancing opponents.

Arizona Cardinals double stack

  • QB Kyler Murray (pick 84)

  • RB Trey Benson (pick 133)

  • WR Marvin Harrison Jr. (pick 37)

The Cardinals present a condensed offense with two main target earners plus a mobile quarterback plus running backs who can also catch passes out of the backfield.

In this setup, I'm betting on a year two leap from last year's overdrafting of Marvin Harrison Jr. now that they may be changing the offense to better suit him, plus grab one of the best handcuff running backs in the league that has a three-down skill set of his own, even if Emeri Demercado ends up taking a bit of that work if James Conner goes down with injury.

Playoff Correlations

  • Steelers TE Pat Freiermuth plays the Dolphins in week 15.

  • Texans RB Woody Marks plays the Cardinals in week 15.

  • Ravens RB Justice Hill plays the Patriots in week 16.
