Game Scripts
These game scripts are quite similar to each other. The Packers are entering week 7 as confident 6.5 point road favorites with a strong projected team total of 26 points, the 4th most among all 30 teams playing this week, while the Broncos enter as 7 point home favorites with a decent projected team total of 23.25 points, which is 14th among all 30 teams playing.
The projected totals suggests plenty of scoring opportunities, while the favorable spread suggests both teams will be playing with a lead, positive game script that could result in elevated rushing volume — likely at the expense of passing volume — as they look to kill the clock in the 2nd half.
Positional Matchups
After 6 games, the Cardinals present a subpar matchup for QBs, allowing the 6th most passing yards and 13th most rushing TDs while also limiting them to the 8th fewest passing TDs, 6th fewest rushing yards and 10th fewest fantasy points per game (15.77).
After 6 games, the Giants present a mediocre matchup for QBs, holding them to the 8th fewest passing touchdowns but allowing the 8th most passing yards, 11th most rushing yards, 13th most rushing TDs and 16th most fantasy points per game (16.94).
Jordan Love: Bottom Line
I expect Jordan Love to likely score 16–20 fantasy points on ~28–34 pass attempts (~235–260 yards), 1–2 passing TDs, 0–1 INT, and ~10–20 rushing yards.
Bo Nix: Bottom Line
I expect Bo Nix to score 15–19 fantasy points on ~28–34 pass attempts (~215–245 yards), 1–2 TDs, 0–1 INT, and ~15–30 rushing yards (0–1 rush TD).
Should you start Jordan Love or Bo Nix?
Both of these players line up in similar situations with similar ranges of outcomes, but overall, I feel slightly more confident in Jordan Love this week.
