Game Scripts

The Jets are entering this game as slim 2 point home underdogs with a dangerously low projected team total of 17.0 points, the 3rd fewest among all 28 teams on the week 10 slate. The narrow spread suggests a balanced offensive approach while the dangerously low projected team total suggests touchdown opportunities will be severely limited. With a nauseatingly low over/under (37.5 points) and both teams sporting bottom 7 projected team totals under 21 points, this looks like more of a game to avoid than one to target in week 10 of fantasy football.

The Cardinals are entering this game as uncomfortable 6 point road underdogs with a low projected team total of 19.5 points, the 7th fewest among all 28 teams on the week 10 slate. The uncomfortable spread suggests a potentially pass-heavy approach while the low projected team total suggests touchdown opportunities will be limited.

Positional Matchups

After 8 games, the Browns present a tough matchup for QBs, allowing the 10th most passing TDs but otherwise holding them to the 6th fewest passing yards, 5th fewest rushing yards, no rushing TDs and 6th fewest fantasy points per game (14.69).

After 8 games, the Seahawks present a mediocre matchup for QBs, allowing the 12th most passing yards, 11th most rushing yards and 15th most rushing TDs yet holding them to the 11th fewest passing TDs and 11th fewest fantasy points per game (15.78).

Justin Fields: Bottom Line

I expect Justin Fields to finish, on average, around 14–19 fantasy points on ~26–32 pass attempts (~185–220 yards), 0–2 passing TDs, 0–1 INT, and ~35–55 rushing yards with ~0–1 rushing TD.

Jacoby Brissett: Bottom Line

I expect Jacoby Brissett to finish, on average, around 17–21 fantasy points on ~34–40 pass attempts (~255–295 yards), 1–2 passing TDs, 0–1 INT, and ~10–20 rushing yards with ~0–1 rushing TD.

Should you start Justin Fields or Jacoby Brissett?

Jacoby Brissett has been fantastic in his first three starts for the Cardinals, and now he's in the better game environment with the better matchup. Yes, Justin Fields can run, but Jacoby is the better bet to give you the total package that fills up a fantasy score.
