This isn't the first time I've done it in this contest, but I've got a Ja'Marr Chase team that actually gets stacked from the Kyler Murray side for week 17. This time, out of necessity - Joe Burrow went at pick 44, to a team without any Bengals players by the time the draft was done. Good job, random drafter!

Despite missing out on any Joe Burrow/Ja'Marr Chase combos in this year's Best Ball Millionaire contest on DraftKings, I'm still content with getting a portion of that game multiple times in the contest.

Let's take a look at how team 15 turned out.

The team, position by position

  • 2 QBs

  • 7 RBs

  • 9 WRs

  • 2 TEs

This is a rare situation where I don't have an elite QB, but I have two mid-round QBs that I ended up feeling comfortable with. As such, I didn't feel the need to add a third QB here and muddy things up, instead looking to take advantage of theoretical ADP values and correlations.

The stacks

Arizona Cardinals double stack

  • QB Kyler Murray (pick 96)

  • RB Trey Benson (pick 144)

  • TE Trey McBride (pick 24)

Unlike that previous team linked above, I didn't add Michael Wilson to this stack, and instead added the handcuff RB in Trey Benson. This is really situational - we know Trey Benson can catch passes out of the backfield, but he's not playing wide receiver out there. Instead, I'm banking on the offense as a whole - without James Conner, ideally - overperforming against an expected-to-be-bad Bengals defense.

Los Angeles Chargers double stack

  • QB Justin Herbert (pick 120)

  • WR Ladd McConkey (pick 25)

  • WR Keenan Allen (pick 97)

It feels pretty safe to say that these will be the two largest target share holders, barring health, on the Chargers this season. With the theoretical improvement of the running game, there will be chances for play-action passes and over-the-middle concepts to both of these guys, with Keenan operating more underneath out of the slot and Ladd running the intermediate routes. I like the setup for both guys. I just need the run/pass balance to tilt a bit more towards pass than expected for this to hit - there's no denying Justin Herbert as a talent, it's just opportunity.

Playoff correlations

  • Rams WR Davante Adams plays the Cardinals in week 15.

  • Cowboys WR Kavontae Turpin plays the Chargers in week 16.

  • As already mentioned, Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase plays the Cardinals in week 17.
