This is the greatest best ball team I have ever assembled, and it's in the DraftKings Best Ball Millionaire

You should not be able to draft Justin Jefferson and Puka Nacua on the same best ball team.

And yet, here we are.

This is team number 11 in my DraftKings Best Ball Millionaire team review. We're doing this one differently, because again, this thing might legitimately win two million dollars this season. Going round-by-round and breaking it all down for you.

Round 1: Even with his "injury", Justin Jefferson shouldn't be available at pick 8

Justin Jefferson was drafted as the 1.01 last season in full-point PPR. He obviously didn't live up to that, but he still had over 1,500 yards and 10 touchdowns. His ADP right now is basically 6, and before the "injury" it was 3. I have him as my second overall player this season for DraftKings purposes, where the receiving bonus matters a ton.

I was over the moon.

Rounds 2-3: Even with his QB's injury, Puka Nacua shouldn't be available at pick 17 - and I'll double down on Rams for the fun of it all

Puka Nacua had 106 targets in 11 games last season. He's on a condensed offense that has basically two massive target earners. Before Stafford's injury, Puka was going basically as a top eight pick - and I have him higher than that assuming Stafford is healthy (he's since returned to practice, we'll see if he's 100% or not.)

But still, looking at these first two rounds - there is not a chance that almost anyone else in this tournament has a Justin Jefferson & Puka Nacua start.

Even more so, if someone else does have this start somehow, it's unlikely that they wanted to double down on the Stafford injury risk by taking Davante Adams slightly ahead of ADP in the third round, so why wouldn't I do that? Again, these two guys are likely going to have at least 50% of the target share this season. I'll just take that and get the old man QB later (spoiler alert!)

I can't believe this draft happened. I'd post the board, but I don't want to make my opponents feel bad publicly for letting me build this team.

Rounds 4-5: You're going to give me two good running backs, too?

Kenneth Walker III is among the guys I'm drafting a ton of this year. Yes, there's risk that Zach Charbonnet takes some work, but when its the KW3 show, he shines. In addition, KW3 is correlated to my Rams stack that I'm building, as they play each other in week 16. It turns out he's also correlated to another stack I built on this team (semi-spoiler alert!)

Did I mention this might be the best team I've ever drafted?

In the next round, Alvin Kamara fell to me past ADP, and, well, this is full PPR and Alvin Kamara catches a lot of footballs. And once again, it turns out that Alvin Kamara is correlated to the same still-secret stacked team that KW3 is also correlated too. This game is really fun! It's the Panthers. There, I spoiled the third stack.

Rounds 6-8: It's a lot less sexy, but still super effective

I've been intentionally getting my numbers up on Jerry Jeudy since the announcement that Joe Flacco will start the season for the Browns, so I took him slightly ahead of ADP in the sixth round.

My bet here is simple: most teams will handle QB changes like this after their team's bye week. The Browns have their bye in week 9, meaning any QB change to whomever they trot out next because nobody knows is most likely to happen in week 10. The three receivers I have on roster already have byes in week 6 and week 8, meaning if I can get peak Jeudy to cover those off, we're in a really, really good spot.

I'm also trying to get my numbers up on Josh Downs, who I think is a really good wide receiver overall that's being hampered by his QB play. With Daniel Jones, it's at least better than having Anthony Richardson out there scrambling on every pass play. Now there'll only be scrambling on most pass plays! But as a WR5, I'm good with this.

In between those picks was TJ Hockenson, for natural stacking reasons. Clear early-season upside with no Jordan Addison for the first three games, and he's also hashtag good at football.

And with that, I leave the first eight rounds with two RBs, five WRs and a TE. So you know what's coming next.

Rounds 9-12: We're in the stack zone, baby!

Right away in round 9, I grab JJ McCarthy because these DraftKings streets are random and I'm not about to throw away the correlation I'm building to some random dude who drafts JJ on vibes and doesn't stack him. I'm a QB reacher, get over it. The Viking stack is complete.

And in round 11, I grab the already-spoiled-for-you Bryce Young, following it up with Adam Thielen, another I'm drafting this guy a lot guy. That's of course not that surprising given we like Bryce Young this year. I actually wish I had more of him in my portfolio. Can't have it perfect, though!

In round 10, rookie Cam Skattebo is the selection, giving me a possible later-in-the-season upside look in case one of the two guys already drafted get hurt - which, given their track record and my ability to find bad luck, is probably going to happen! He's also playing the Vikings in week 16 for the correlation bonus. Did I mention that this might be the best team I've ever drafted?

Rounds 13-16: MORE STACKING!

Matthew Stafford obviously is in this section, taken in the 14th round right around his ADP.

You know what I did after that, like a total sicko?

Drafted two more Panthers in Xavier Legette (round 15) and Rico Dowdle (round 16), because when you're doing a backdoor stack with Bryce Young, why not make it a triple stack? This team is so much fun.

Oh, and before all that, I took Tyler Allgeier, one of the best handcuff running backs in the game who's going to get a million carries if Bijan gets hurt and be good at it. Remember that time he rushed for over 1,000 yards in a season? Good times! He's also playing the Rams in week 17. I really hope I'm rich after all this, but it'll probably not even make the playoffs and this is going to be massive egg on my face. Please don't bookmark this.

Rounds 17-20: With a draft like this, it really don't even matter what you do down here.

I took Tyler Higbee in the 18th round to make the Rams stack a triple stack. Fun coupons! Now I have 65% of the Rams target shares covered up.

Mike Gesicki felt like a fun bet to take as my TE2 behind his ADP (round 17). With Hockenson in front of him, I felt like I could risk the downswings if it meant he ends up with another of those 30 point games like he had last season.

In round 19, I took a contingent bet on Sean Tucker. It's possible (but unlikely) that he surpasses Rachaad White on the depth chart this season in a both-healthy scenario, but Rachaad White is entering the season banged up, and since the Buccaneers play the Panthers in week 16, figured might as well take a shot as the RB6 on the team.

And in round 20, who else could it be but Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, who I continue to write about and draft a ton.

Recap it up!

    • MIN: QB JJ McCarthy + WR Justin Jefferson + TE TJ Hockenson
