Game Scripts
The Buccaneers are entering week 5 as 3.5 point road underdogs with an implied point total of just 20.5 points, tied for the 8th lowest among all 28 teams playing this week. The unfavorable spread suggests a mildly negative game script that could tip a bit pass heavy if the Buccaneers fall behind the Seahawks — potentially at the expense of rushing volume — while the low implied point total suggests touchdown opportunities and fantasy football fireworks may be limited.
With a nauseatingly low over/under — 36.5 points, easily the lowest among all 14 games on the week 5 slate — and both teams sporting bottom 7 implied point totals under 21 points, Vikings "at" Browns (it's a neutral site in Europe) is shaping up to be a defensive slugfest with supremely limited potential for touchdowns and fantasy football fireworks. The Browns in particular are entering week 5 as pathetic 4.5 point "home" underdogs with a dangerously low implied point total of just 16 points — the lowest among all 28 teams playing this week. The unfavorable spread suggests the Browns will be playing from behind, negative game script that *could* result in elevated passing volume — potentially at the expense of rushing volume — as the Browns try to keep up. As always, the Browns offense is more one to attack with the Vikings defense than one to force into your week 5 fantasy football lineups.
Positional Matchups
After 4 games, the Seahawks present an awesome matchup for receiving backs, and a miserable matchup for rushing backs, allowing the most catches, most receiving yards and 14th most PPR points per game while simultaneously holding RBs to the 7th fewest rushing yards, no rushing TDs and 10th fewest PPR points per touch (0.78).
After 4 games, the Vikings present a mediocre matchup for RBs, allowing the 9th most rushing yards, 8th most rushing touchdowns, 16th most catches and 15th most PPR points per game while simultaneously holding RBs to the 12th fewest receiving yards, no receiving TDs and 9th fewest PPR points per touch (0.77).
Rachaad White: Bottom Line
High-end RB2 with RB 1 upside if Bucky Irving sits. Expect ~14–18 PPR points on ~16–20 touches, with ~4–6 targets (3–5 catches) and ~75–95 total yards; underdog script plus Seattle’s RB-receiving funnel boosts his receiving floor.
Quinshon Judkins: Bottom Line
Rising-floor RB2. Expect ~12–16 PPR points on ~18–22 touches (~3–5 targets, ~2–4 catches, ~85–110 scrimmage yards); three-down usage helps, but Cleveland’s 16-point implied total caps touchdown odds.
Should you start Rachaad White or Quinshon Judkins?
Presuming that Bucky Irving doesn't play in this game (and why would he? He's in a walking boot!), then Rachaad White becomes the play here. His receiving usage ups his floor, and the overall game environment favors possible ceiling outcomes, too.
