Week 2 Waiver Wire Targets graphic — Jalen Coker and Kaelon Black with a Priority Adds list ranking Black, Likely, and Coker, for fantasy football pickups

Top Week 2 Waiver Wire Targets

These are the players WORTH spending waiver wire priority on in “normal” sized leagues (10-12 teams, 15-16 roster spots):

🔵 RB - Kaelon Black - Handled 50% of the 49ers’ backfield touches in Week 1, tying the legendary Christian McCaffrey with 15. He did well with them too, gaining 70 scoreless yards for 8 PPR points. Hope you stashed him when I sent the blast last week but if not, get him now!

🔵 TE - Isaiah Likely - Only available in 10% of leagues. If he’s available and you need a TE, GET HIM.

🔵 WR - Jalen Coker - Jalen Coker led the Panthers in target share (26.5%), targets (9), catches (8), yards (138), touchdowns (2) and PPR points (33.8). He averaged 15 PPR points and 6 targets per game over the final 6 games last season. He appears primed for a monster 2026 campaign if he can stay on the field.

🔵 RB - Kyle Monangai - D’Andre Swift was the clear lead back (he handled 61.3% of the backfield touches in Week 1), but Kyle Monangai still saw 12 touches in the Bears offense on Sunday, taking them for 124 scrimmage yards and 1 TD (20.4 PPR points). He’s available in 23% of leagues and should be added everywhere.

🟢 WR - Matthew Golden - Matthew Golden paced Packers’ pass catchers in target share (30%), catching 6 of 12 targets for 95 scoreless yards (15.5 PPR points). He’ll be a big part of their offense yet he’s still available in 24% of fantasy football leagues.

🟢 SUPERFLEX ONLY - QB Carson Wentz - 133 passing yards and 3 TDs (17.22 fantasy points) in relief of Kyler Murray, who’s questionable in Week 2 with a concussion.

🟡 SUPERFLEX ONLY - QB Drew Lock - 187 passing yards and 1 TD with 13 rushing yards (12.78 fantasy points) in relief of Sam Darnold in week 1. Darnold is set to miss time.

These are the players I would NOT spend your week 2 waiver wire priority on unless it was a deeper league. Instead, I’d add these guys for free after waivers run:

🟢 WR - Deebo Samuel - Caught 6 of 7 targets for 48 yards and 1 TD, plus 1 carry for 12 scoreless yards (18 PPR points). Clear WR 2 in an explosive offense that lost De’Zhaun Stribling.

🟢 RB - Devaughn Vele - Caught 7 of 9 targets for 69 very nice yards and 1 TD (19.9 PPR points). Played 82 offensive snaps and is very much entrenched as the Saints WR 2 while Jordyn Tyson is out.

🟢 WR - Kalif Raymond - Kalif Raymond played more snaps (45) than Rome Odunze (36) and led Bears’ pass catchers in target share (34.6%), targets (9), catches (8), yards (84), and PPR points (16.4). He obviously won’t be “the guy” for long, but he should probably be rostered for now.

🟢 RB - Aaron Jones - It was essentially a 50/50 split between Jordan Mason and Aaron Jones in Week 1. Mason handled 15 touches for 59 yards and 1 TD (11.9 PPR points) while Jones handled 12 touches for 40 yards and 1 TD (10 PPR points). They’ll both be on the RB 3/flex radar. Jones is available in 30% of leagues.

🟢 RB - Tyler Allgeier - Tyler Allgeier handled 89.4% of the Cardinals’ backfield touches, gaining 70 scoreless yards on 19 total touches (2 catches). Jeremiah Love (40.6%) will eventually take over but for now, Allgeier is very much in play as an RB 3/flex.

🟢 RB - Woody Marks - Woody Marks actually played MORE offensive snaps (40) than David Montgomery (39). That said, Montgomery handled 69.7% of the backfield touches (23), compared to 30.3% for Marks (10). Still, handling 10 touches in a close Week 1 contest is a good sign for Marks’ flex viability going forward.

🟢 WR - Pat Bryant - Led the Broncos in targets (6), catching 4 of them for 42 scoreless yards (8.2 PPR points).

🟢 TE - Michael Mayer - Michael Mayer led the Raiders in target share (24.1%), catching 6 of 7 targets for 32 scoreless yards (9.2 PPR points). He’ll remain on the streaming radar for as long as Brock Bowers is out.

🟢 WR - Tre Harris - Tre Harris played 41 offensive snaps and had a 22.2% target share with Ladd McConkey dealing with a rib injury in Week 1. Harris caught 3 of 6 targets for 20 scoreless yards. He’ll be a sneaky upside play if McConkey misses time.

🟢 TE - Dalton Schultz - Dalton Schultz had a 21.6% target share in Week 1 behind only Nico Collins, catching 4 of 8 targets for 35 scoreless yards. He’s very much in the streaming conversation moving forward.

🟢 TE - Juwan Johnson - Caught just 3 of 7 targets for 54 yards and 1 TD (14.4 PPR points).

🟢 TE - Pat Freiermuth - Caught 5 of 5 targets for 46 yards and 1 TD (15.6 PPR points).

🟡 WR - Malik Washington - Malik Washington (55 offensive snaps, 8 targets, 3 catches, 53 yards) and Caleb Douglas (51 snaps, 7 targets, 5 catches, 94 yards) were the clear top 2 receivers in Miami’s passing “attack.” No other pass catcher accrued even just 3 targets, including Chris Bell and Greg Dulcich.

🟡 WR - Caleb Douglas - Malik Washington (55 offensive snaps, 8 targets, 3 catches, 53 yards) and Caleb Douglas (51 snaps, 7 targets, 5 catches, 94 yards) were the clear top 2 receivers in Miami’s passing “attack.” No other pass catcher accrued even just 3 targets, including Chris Bell and Greg Dulcich.

🟡 WR - DeMario Douglas - DeMario Douglas had a 22.6% target share in Week 1, followed by Mack Hollins (16.1%). BOTH of them played more offensive snaps than Romeo Doubs. AJ Brown will miss at least the next 4 games.

🟡 WR - Mack Hollins - DeMario Douglas had a 22.6% target share in Week 1, followed by Mack Hollins (16.1%). BOTH of them played more offensive snaps than Romeo Doubs. AJ Brown will miss at least the next 4 games.

🟡 WR - Keenan Allen - Keenan Allen had a 20.7% target share in Week 1, tied with Alec Pierce for the team lead. He caught all 6 targets for 32 scoreless yards (9.2 PPR points) and looks like he’ll be on the radar as a low-upside WR 4/flex in PPR leagues.

🟡 WR - Antonio Williams - Caught 4 of 4 targets for 64 yards and 1 TD (16.4 PPR points).

🟡 WR - Roman Wilson - Roman Wilson had a 16.2% target share in week 1, catching 3 of 6 targets for 26 scoreless yards (5.6 PPR points).

🟡 RB - Devin Singletary - Handled 33.3% of the Giants’ backfield touches, taking it 10 times for 38 scrimmage yards and 1 TD (13.8 PPR points)

🟡 RB - Kendre Miller - Kendre Miller handled 32.1% of the Saints’ backfield touches, gaining 30 scrimmage yards and 1 TD (9 PPR points) on 9 carries (the same amount of carries as Travis Etienne). Alvin Kamara back soon?

🟡 TE - TJ Hockenson - TJ Hockenson had a 21.7% target share in Week 1, catching 4 of 5 targets for 36 yards and 1 TD (13.6 PPR points).

🟡 TE - Evan Engram - Caught 4 of 5 targets for 43 yards, 1 TD and 14.3 PPR points.

🟡 TE - Cade Otton - Caught 3 of 5 targets for 26 scoreless yards (5.6 PPR points).

🟡 TE - Gunnar Helm - Caught 4 of 5 targets for 28 scoreless yards (6.8 PPR points).

🟡 WR - Kendrick Bourne - Kendrick Bourne had a 21.6% target share in Week 1, 2nd on the Cardinals behind only Trey McBride (35.1%). He played fewer offensive snaps (50) than Michael Wilson (64) and Marvin Harrison (59), but accrued 8 targets compared to 7 for Wilson and just 3 for Harrison. Boure caught all 8 targets for 75 scoreless yards (15.5 PPR points).

🟡 TE - Mike Gesicki - Despite only playing 21 offensive snaps — way fewer than Drew Sample (42), Ja’Marr Chase (60), and Tee Higgins (46) — Mike Gesicki somehow led all Bengals’ pass catchers in target share (20.6%), targets (7), catches (5), yards (78), touchdowns (1) and PPR points (18.8). That obviously won’t last for long, but he needs to at least be on the radar for streaming purposes.

🟡 TE - David Njoku - David Njoku had an 18.5% target share in Week 1, catching all 5 targets for 58 scoreless yards. He’ll be on the streaming radar moving forward, especially if Ladd McConkey misses time with his rib injury.

đźź  TE - Noah Fant - Caught 4 of 8 targets for 33 yards and 1 TD (13.3 PPR points). Tyler Shough not likely to throw 56 passes again soon.
