Is a Patrick Mahomes resurgence on the horizon for fantasy football?

Patrick Mahomes finally has his weapons back.
After a down year where he only threw for 3,900 yards - and rushed for 300 more - it appears more and more like Mahomes will return to the 4,000 yard club in 2025. And at his current ADP across various sites, Patrick Mahomes may be the steal of the year in fantasy football drafts.
Vegas loves his potential
As of writing, Patrick Mahomes is one of only two quarterbacks that Vegas believes should be worthy of an over/under on their passing yards in the 4,000 range. The implication here is that the Chiefs are expected to be more pass-heavy this season than in previous ones, despite the return of Isiah Pacheco and the addition of Elijah Mitchell.
Patrick Mahomes has two seasons where he's thrown more than 600 pass attempts. In those two seasons, he averaged over 5,000 yards passing and 39 passing touchdowns.
The return of Rice, a Worthy deep threat, a possible Hollywood renaissance and a Royal rookie
Rashee Rice is back and healthy - and appears to be avoiding a (likely pending) suspension for the 2025 season. Before getting hurt last season, Rashee Rice was the ever-dependable WR1 for Patrick Mahomes, averaging over 9 targets per game over his past 13 full games.
Xavier Worthy finished the 2024 season on a tear, averaging over 7 targets per game and providing week-winning explosions for us in fantasy football. He'll undoubtedly be looking to pick things up where he left off in 2025. His skill set fits perfectly alongside Rashee Rice; Worthy provides Mahomes with a reliable deep threat, while Rashee handles the short and intermediate work. Having both in their dedicated roles that can unlock the best of both of them ultimately lifts Patrick Mahomes' value alongside them.
Veteran Marquise "Hollywood" Brown and rookie Jalen Royals will round out the majority of what's left in the receiving core. Hollywood is coming off an injury-filled season, but we've seen players of his caliber come back before and make an impact, especially before the age of 30. In 74 career games where Hollywood plays 30 or more snaps, he's averaging around 11.6 PPR points per game. As the WR3 here, he won't nearly offer that type of return, but as long as he stays healthy, he'll be a reliable option for Patrick Mahomes.
And rookie Jalen Royals - heralded by some as the player with the best acceleration in the class - adds a gadget-like option for screen passes and another deep threat to the team, potentially opening up the offense in different ways than were possible last season.
