Game Scripts
The Broncos are entering this game as slim 3-point home underdogs with a subpar projected team total of 20.0 points, the 6th fewest among all 30 teams on the week 11 slate. The narrow spread suggests a balanced offensive approach while the subpar projected team total suggests limited touchdown opportunities.
The Buccaneers are entering this game as uncomfortable 5-point road underdogs with a mediocre projected team total of 22.0 points, the 9th fewest among all 30 teams on the week 11 slate. The uncomfortable spread suggests a potentially pass-heavy approach while the mediocre projected team total suggests modest touchdown opportunities. Buccaneers at Bills has a healthy over/under of 47.5 points, suggesting a sliver of shootout potential if the Buccaneers can exceed their modest scoring expectations.
Positional Matchups
After 9 games, the Chiefs present a tough matchup for RBs, allowing the 11th most RB receiving yards (33.7/game) but otherwise holding them to the 7th fewest rushing yards (77.7/game), 14th fewest catches (4.22/game), 7th fewest TDs (0.6/game), 7th fewest PPR points per game (18.7/game) and the 15th fewest PPR points per touch (0.86). Just 6 RBs in 9 games have been able to reach 10 PPR points against the Chiefs.
After 9 games, the Bills present a great matchup for RBs, holding them to the 10th fewest catches and 7th fewest receiving yards while allowing the 3rd most rushing yards, most rushing touchdowns (1.33 per game), 6th most PPR points per game and 4th most PPR points per touch (1.01).
RJ Harvey: Bottom Line
I expect RJ Harvey to finish, on average, around 11–15 PPR points on ~16–20 touches (~60–70 rushing yards, ~25–35 receiving yards, 3–5 catches), and ~0–1 total TDs.
Rachaad White: Bottom Line
I expect Rachaad White to finish, on average, around 12–16 PPR points on ~14–18 touches (~60–85 scrimmage yards), with ~4–6 targets (3–5 catches) and 0–1 TD in a likely pass-heavy game script.
Should you start RJ Harvey or Rachaad White?
Both of these backs are stepping in as their primary options this week with injuries to JK Dobbins and Bucky Irving, respectively. We've seen mixed results from Rachaad White so far, but he has absolutely been the back in that offense who is getting targets, with four games with 4+ targets. That's a floor raiser for sure, and while it's possible that RJ Harvey will have a similar role here, I like the matchup for Rachaad White slightly better, so that's my lean.
