It took byepocalypse to get a normal-ish slate of games for us all - no early-morning international game and only one game on Monday Night this week. Ultimately, even with six teams on a bye, we're still looking at ten games to pick from for the main slate over on DraftKings.

A bunch of us BBFF subscribers, myself included, had some awesome wins last week, some nearly reaching 20x returns. Let's see if we can keep the momentum going.

Here are my week 8 DraftKings DFS picks & fades that I'm considering for my lineups.

Week 8 DraftKings DFS Stack of the Week

Denver Broncos: QB Bo Nix ($6,000) + WR Courtland Sutton ($6,200) + WR Troy Franklin ($4,200)

It feels a bit wash-rinse-repeat at this point to say we should play teams going against the Cowboys defense, but there's no denying that the spot here is a great one for Bo Nix and company. This is also the highest total game on the slate, meaning we're not going to be the only ones playing this stack - or any combination of Broncos stacked, for that matter.

What'll be interesting to determine is how you bring back the Cowboys against a recently-torched-but-generally-good Broncos defense - and how you get different elsewhere in your lineups.

Week 8 DraftKings DFS Picks

RB JK Dobbins, Denver Broncos ($5,800)

On the flipside of things, if everyone is going to be stacking Bo Nix, isn't the contrarian play going to be playing JK Dobbins and hope he runs wild? You'd think so, but I'm willing to bet that Dobbins will also be owned, just independently from Bo Nix. He's currently sitting at -135 to score a touchdown, ahead of guys like De'Von Achane ($7,300), Quinshon Judkins ($6,500), and Cam Skattebo ($6,400). He'll need it to pay off, with his lack of passing game volume, but if there's a spot for it, it's here.

WR Zay Flowers, Baltimore Ravens ($5,400)

In what figures to be another shootout game, Zay Flowers will get a relatively soft matchup against the Bears at home. He continued to get targeted without Lamar Jackson, including ten targets in week 6 before their bye last week, and has the explosiveness to turn that into meaningful ceiling outcomes. With Lamar (likely) back in the fold and Zay Flowers at his cheapest price point he's been all season - and it probably isn't getting any lower - I'm jumping in.

TE Mason Taylor, New York Jets ($3,500)

We're presuming that Tyrod Taylor will be taking over for the Jets at QB this week, and that's a major win for Mason Taylor, who secured five targets in the second half last week when Tyrod took over after not seeing a single target with Justin Fields prior to that. We're going to need to find some cheap pieces this week with a lot of expensive pay-up options in really good spots, and Mason Taylor going against a below average Bengals defense feels like a gamble worth taking.

Week 8 DraftKings DFS Fades

RB Alvin Kamara, New Orleans Saints ($5,700)

This certainly feels like it would be the game to get Alvin Kamara more involved, in a likely trailing game script at home against a division rival. But it really seems like Kellen Moore is trying to limit Kamara's usage overall. Even while playing in a game they trailed all game and his direct backup got hurt and there was strong winds, Kamara only managed 14 touches last week on an 84% snap share. I simply don't know if we are going to see ceiling Alvin Kamara games anymore, at least not in this version of the offense.

WR Michael Pittman Jr., Indianapolis Colts ($5,600)

A home game against a horrible Titans defense - what gives? Well, $5,600 is the most expensive he's been all season, and the results have been mostly good-but-not-great with a couple duds in there too. In a game the Colts should handle pretty easily, I can see them running the clock a lot more than they have, leading to a depressed passing volume overall, and I'm leaning towards not paying a price this high to take on that kind of risk.
